Say there's a bike hire and repair shop in Sant Feliu, where the Carrilet greenway ends. One Friday in April it gets three almost identical messages, in English, French and Spanish: is it open on Sunday, does it have electric bikes in size M, and where can you leave a van? All three had already checked its Google listing and its website, and found the answer in neither. By the time the owner replies, after closing, one of them has booked somewhere else. That is what good web design in Sant Feliu de Guíxols is about: having the questions everyone asks answered before anyone needs to write to you.

Sant Feliu de Guíxols depends on summer less than you might think
According to the official town map, it was from the Sant Elm viewpoint that Ferran Agulló found the inspiration, in 1908, to name this coastline the Costa Brava. More than a century later, Sant Feliu de Guíxols has 23,060 residents in 16 square kilometres, and it doesn't empty out in winter. Idescat, the Catalan statistics institute, estimates how many people are present on average across the year, adding those who come to stay for a while and subtracting residents who spend part of the year away. In Sant Feliu that comes to 111 people for every 100 registered residents; across the Baix Empordà as a whole, it is 134.
That doesn't mean there are no second homes: in the 2021 census, 45% of the town's homes were not anyone's main residence. And the business fabric is made up of small firms. In September 2026 there were 1,685 self-employed registrations, and more than four in ten employees worked for companies with nine staff or fewer. All these figures are in Idescat's profile of Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
For your website, this means you have three audiences, and they don't search in the same way.
Who opens your website in Sant Feliu and what they are looking for
Locals, from Sant Feliu or elsewhere in the Vall d'Aro, look you up in a hurry and on their phones: are you open, how do they get there, roughly how much does it cost and how can they contact you? They don't need the history of the business on the home page. They need your phone number and opening hours in plain sight.
Second-home owners look you up from Barcelona or Girona before they drive down: can the plumber come on Friday, is the restaurant open in November, does the shop deliver? They type the town's name into the search box and compare without ever meeting you.
And people who come to do something specific plan more than anyone. Sant Feliu de Guíxols is certified as a destination specialising in road cycle tourism, according to its official tourism website, and it is the end of the Carrilet route, the 41.9-kilometre greenway that runs down from Girona along the line of the old railway. Add diving, kayaking, the coastal path and the Porta Ferrada, which the tourist office describes as the oldest summer festival in Catalonia: it began in 1958.
Web design in Sant Feliu de Guíxols for visitors who arrive by bike
If you welcome cyclists, whether you run a hotel, a restaurant, a café or a workshop, some questions always come up: where is the bike kept and is it locked, what time is breakfast served or does the kitchen open, are there tools and somewhere to wash it, do you rent or repair bikes, and what sizes do you have? Put the answers on a page of their own, with photos of the place where bikes are left, in your customers' languages. Hardly anyone has this content, and it matches what people search for before a trip.

What your website must answer on the first screen
Whichever of the three opens your website, these four things need to be on the first screen of a phone, without scrolling.
What you do, in one sentence. “Bike hire and repairs in Sant Feliu de Guíxols” is clear at once. “A passion for two wheels” says nothing.
Where you are and how to get there. The address, a map and where to park. The tourist office itself recommends leaving the car in the park-and-walk car parks and walking into the centre, and in summer extra car parks open at the entrance to the town. If your customers come by car, tell them before they start driving in circles.
When you are open. Today's hours, not July's. If they change with the season, on festival days or on Sunday market mornings, make that visible on the website.
How to get in touch. A WhatsApp or call button that is easy to tap with a thumb and, if you work by appointment or booking, the link to book without phoning. We explain how to set that up in online booking for your business.

Web design in Sant Feliu de Guíxols in several languages
One in four Sant Feliu residents was born outside Spain (26.9% in 2025, according to Idescat), and some of the people who come to cycle, dive or holiday don't read Spanish or Catalan. But translating for the sake of it achieves little. A well-made English version of the five pages that matter is worth more than a multilingual website with six half-finished translations.
Google explains this in its guide to multilingual sites. It recommends a separate URL for each language, with hreflang annotations, rather than switching the language with cookies or browser settings. It advises against redirecting people based on the language you think they speak: give them links to choose instead. And it works out a page's language from the visible content, so each page needs its text and navigation in a single language, without side-by-side translations. If you translate only the menu and leave the rest in Spanish, the page is no use to Google or to the person reading it.
To choose your languages, look at the ones people already use when they email or WhatsApp you. The same goes for Catalan and Spanish, and we explain how to organise the two versions in a website in Catalan and Spanish.
Your website, your Google listing and the tourism website, with the same details
In Sant Feliu, your business can appear in three places people check before they come: your website, your Google Business Profile and the town's official tourism website. The last one has a section, the Local Network, where the town council lets accommodation, restaurants and shops sign up for free. Businesses appear in that website's public listings, which are in Catalan, Spanish, English and French, and an accommodation listing, for example, links to the business's own website. If you are not there yet, you can apply through the “Register business” link in the footer.
What must not happen is for the three to say different things: one set of hours on your website, another on Google and an old phone number on the tourism site. When your hours change, in spring or in October, change them in all three on the same day. We explain how to look after the listing in Google Business Profile: how to show up on the map.
Sant Feliu's calendar belongs on your website too
The Sunday morning market, the Porta Ferrada in July and August, the Festival d'Aquí in September or the Ganxotapes, the autumn tapas trail, which this year runs from 23 October to 22 November. If your hours, menu or offer change on those dates, publish it in good time. A line saying “on Sundays, market day, we open from 9am to 2pm” answers a question you would otherwise get by phone.

How much web design in Sant Feliu de Guíxols costs
Our prices are published on our pricing page, and they are the same in Sant Feliu as anywhere else:
Your Landing, €100 a month. A single page that explains what you do and collects enquiries, with hosting and one email mailbox.
Your Website, €200 a month. A website of up to ten subpages, with hosting, two mailboxes and one article a month to keep it alive.
Presence plans, from €400 to €1,500 a month. For those who also want monthly articles on the website and on the Google listing, replies to every review and GEO positioning, so you show up in AI answers. From the €750 plan up, Google Ads and Meta Ads campaign management is included too.
All prices exclude VAT, with no lock-in and no setup fee: billing is month by month and you can stop with thirty days' notice. Everything we do stays in your accounts and on your domain, and if you leave one day, you take it with you. An online shop or a website with bookings, payments or a private area is quoted separately, as custom software: based on what needs to be built, with a fixed written quote. If you want to compare this with what a website usually costs, see how much does a website cost.

How we handle web design in Sant Feliu de Guíxols
We are three partners working from the Palau Firal in Sant Antoni de Calonge, about fifteen kilometres from Sant Feliu, so we can meet in person when it helps. Ivan builds the website and makes sure it loads fast on phones. Jordi takes care of the design and the copy, so that every page answers what your customers ask. Izan checks security and sets up tracking, so you know where visits and messages come from.
We start with a conversation about who you sell to and what you get asked most. From that we decide how many pages you need and in which languages, write the copy and design for mobile first. Before going live, we update your Google listing with the same details as the website. A landing page can be live in two or three weeks, and a ten-page website in four to eight. What usually stretches the timeline is the copy and the photos; if we prepare them, the timing is in our hands.
Further up the same coast, we cover Palamós in web design in Palamós.
