Imagine an accountancy firm in Girona with eight people. Two use ChatGPT every day from their personal accounts, another pastes in payslips to get them summarised, and the rest have never opened it. Nobody decided this; it just happened. That's what AI training for businesses in Girona is for: making sure the whole team knows how to use it in their work, with the same rules, and without customer data ending up where it shouldn't.

What the law asks of businesses that use AI
Since 2 February 2025, the EU Artificial Intelligence Act has required businesses that use AI at work to look after the AI literacy of their staff: people who use it should understand how it works, what can go wrong and how to interpret what it produces. Under the regulation, an accountancy firm that works with ChatGPT is a "deployer", a term that covers any business using an AI system under its own authority, except for personal use.
The obligation has been softened. Under Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, published in July 2026, businesses no longer have to guarantee a specific level for each person: they have to take measures to support that training, depending on what each person knows and how they use it. The same text says the Commission and Member States will help small businesses in particular, and that AI literacy should be a strategic priority regardless of regulatory obligations and possible penalties.
For a small business, the practical question is what it has done to make sure its team uses AI properly. Training built on your own cases, plus a few written rules, is a concrete answer.
How many businesses in Catalonia already use AI
According to the INE survey on ICT use in enterprises, at the start of 2025 25.6% of businesses headquartered in Catalonia with 10 or more employees were already using some form of artificial intelligence, above the 21.1% for Spain as a whole. Among businesses with fewer than 10 employees, the Spanish average was 13.4%.
Those figures count who uses AI, not who uses it well. The accountancy firm above is a very common case: tools that come in without anyone deciding, each person with their own account, and nobody explaining what can be pasted in and what can't.
What your team learns in AI training
Good training starts with your work: what you write, what you summarise and what you prepare every week. With that in front of them, the team learns four things.
How to ask AI for things
How to give it context, information, format and limits so it doesn't answer as if you were anyone. We explain it step by step in how to write a good prompt.
How to check what it gives back
AI gets things wrong with the same confidence it gets them right. People practise checking names, figures and dates before sending anything, and spotting answers that sound good but say nothing.
What data stays inside the company
Which accounts to use, which settings to change and what never to paste in: customers' personal data, passwords, payslips or contracts. Izan, who handles cybersecurity, looks after the data and access side. If you want the long version, it's in artificial intelligence in your company.
Where it helps and where it doesn't
Some tasks save hours with AI and others just add checking. We go through yours with a simple filter, the same one we describe in which tasks to automate with AI.

Training built on your team's own tasks
Generic examples are forgotten the next day. That's why the training uses real cases from your business, which in a Girona company vary a lot by sector:
- Restaurants and hotels: replying to reviews, preparing the menu in several languages or answering booking emails.
- Retail: product descriptions, social posts and replies to questions that keep coming up.
- Professional offices and accountants: summarising long documents, drafting emails and organising information.
- Manufacturing and distribution: translating technical sheets, preparing standard quotes and checking orders.
The aim is for each person to come away with their own prompts, tested on their own tasks, and for the team to have a shared set of written rules.
In Catalan, if you work in Catalan
Many Girona businesses write in Catalan: to customers, to suppliers and on their website. The training is done in the language you work in, and we test with your own texts how each tool responds in Catalan, how to ask for the right tone and what to check before sending.
Catalan even has its own public project: the Catalan government backs Projecte AINA, which creates open corpora and language models so that developers of AI applications can build them in Catalan.

In person in Girona or by video call
We work from the Palau Firal in Sant Antoni de Calonge and cover the whole province of Girona in person: Girona city, Figueres, Olot, Blanes, Lloret, Palafrugell, Banyoles or Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The training can take place in your office, on your own computers and accounts, which is where people learn best.
If the team is spread out or prefers shorter sessions, it can also be done by video call. The venue changes, but the cases are still yours.
How the training is organised, step by step
We work in phases, as with our other services, so you always know where things stand:
- A first conversation. You tell us how you work, who does what and which tasks repeat every week.
- A plan with a fixed quote. Which tasks we'll cover, in what order and with which tools, with priorities and realistic timescales.
- Sessions built on your cases. People practise with the texts and documents from their own roles, and you can ask questions and change things along the way.
- A review a few weeks later. We look at what's actually being used and what isn't, and adjust: what works gets reinforced and what doesn't pay off gets changed.
Training and integration: AI inside the tools you already use
Training people is half the job. The other half is getting AI to work inside your tools rather than in a separate tab: drafting, summarising, sorting or replying where you already work. That's what our AI integration and training service covers, and those connections are built by Ivan, who does the programming.
If what you're after is a task that runs on its own from start to finish, that's process automation, which we also do in Girona.

What you don't need to get started
- Technical knowledge. The training uses examples from your day-to-day work and plain language.
- Tools bought blind. First you decide which tasks AI is useful for; the AI audit exists precisely so you don't pay for licences nobody uses.
- The whole company at once. A couple of well-chosen tasks are enough to notice the time saved, and from there it extends step by step.
What AI training for businesses in Girona costs
Training is part of the AI integration and training service. As explained on our pricing page, it's priced per project, not as a monthly fee: the price depends on what needs preparing, and we confirm it in writing before we start.
If you're not sure where to begin, the first step is an AI audit: we look at how you work and tell you where AI will save you time and where it won't, with priorities and costs. The first conversation, in person if you're near Girona or by video call, comes with no obligation.
We'll tell you in a ten-minute conversation
We reply the same day. No commitment, no sales pitch.
Five signs your team needs AI training
- Everyone uses a different tool, sometimes with a personal account.
- Nobody knows what can be pasted into AI and what can't.
- Output gets sent or published unchecked.
- Fixing it takes longer than writing it by hand.
- You tried it one afternoon and left it there, even though some tasks repeat every week.
